Geoffrey Barber

Founder of The CiaO Foundation

"I wish to use my experiences to inspire people and to help others who are struggling with the challenges they are facing. I intend to change the attitude of as many people as possible to welcome challenges, as they provide opportunities to improve their lives and the lives of others, in some cases quite dramatically!"

In January 2001 Geoffrey Barber survived a serious car crash and faced the very real possibility of not being able to walk again. Through sheer determination, strength and belief in something greater than himself, he embraced this challenge as an opportunity to progress and in so doing transformed his thinking and practice. Geoffrey is now fully able bodied and enjoys regular exercise jogging up Primrose Hill! CiaO (Challenge is an Opportunity) was born out of this experience and, Geoffrey’s will to recognise the efforts and endeavours of others who have similarly overcome.
