CiaO Celebrates it's 1st Anniversary

We at the CiaO Foundation firmly believe that from every Challenge there is an Opportunity. The aim of the Foundation is to help & support people to overcome challenges in their lives. We also want to recognise those who have successfully conquered their own challenges and are advising others on how they overcome them.

A Year of Providing Helping Hands

Our last Trustee meeting on the 31st of March not only celebrated a year since the CiaO Foundation was launched, but we also chose eight new people to receive one of our unique Primrose Awards. That makes a list of over 20 individuals that we have supported by providing practical assistance in our first year.

1st Year Highlights

  • 20 + individuals helped with practical assistance including;
    • Courses, training, lessons & therapy
    • Specialist wheelchairs and sports equipment
    • Technology helping people live an independent life
    • Safe places for encouragement and growth
  • Created great bonds with amazing nominating charities
  • Provided awards in conjunction with some outstanding organisations
  • Motivated and encouraged more than half of recipients with amazing new challenges such as:
    • New careers
    • Setting up a business
    • Taking on brilliant fundraising goals and feats
    • Training to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games
So do you know someone facing a challenge, or is doing great work borne from challenge they have met? Why not nominate them and see if we can help them with a Primrose Award in our second year. Click Here

Special Primrose Award for EYLA Young People

Eastside Young Leaders’ Academy (EYLA) is an inspirational organisation helping young people in the Wanstead area of London with the challenges surrounding them. Countering the very real danger of gangs, crime and violence in the area, they provide leadership development, masterclasses and workshops for young people at risk of social and educational exclusion and wishing to overcome the challenge of those threats. As such, we are very pleased to announce the presentation of a special Primrose Award to the young people and individuals of the EYLA. Special, as it fulfils two of the Foundation's main aims and will help support involved individuals in overcoming these challenges and recognise the young people who have successfully conquered them and are now helping their peers.
